erm... i hate to break it to you but: 1, you didnt beat the british empire nor kick them out, you made a deal with the british empire, no violence whats so ever. 2. many countries "couldn't do" this because they didnt want to trade so much for freedom, they really wanted to "kick" them out, not buy/trade them out, and lose so much. 3, i actually got nothing against india, but ur attitude is a little off :P india is a big country, same as china, but per capita wise, both r lacking
